About Learn The Pitch
1. What Learn The Pitch is
Learn The Pitch is an independent soccer education site built for new fans — people who didn't grow up watching football but want to understand it quickly, especially around major tournaments like the World Cup.
The site turns complicated rules into short visual lessons, plain-English explanations, and practical match scenarios. Every lesson is designed to be finished in under two minutes.
2. Why we built it
Most soccer explanations online assume you already know the game. Official rulebooks are written for referees. Broadcast commentary moves too fast for beginners.
Learn The Pitch exists to close that gap — not by dumbing down the game, but by explaining it properly to people who are curious and starting from zero.
3. What the site covers
- Soccer rules explained simply (offside, VAR, cards, fouls, substitutions, and more)
- World Cup format, groups, knockout rounds, and tiebreakers
- Glossary of 60+ soccer terms
- A World Cup readiness quiz with a personalised lesson path
- Team guides for all 48 World Cup 2026 teams
4. Editorial standards
Lessons on Learn The Pitch are based on:
- The IFAB Laws of the Game (official global rulebook)
- Official tournament regulations (FIFA, UEFA, CONCACAF)
- Match examples sourced from publicly documented incidents
We update content when rules change or when we receive credible corrections. If you spot an error, email hello@learnthepitch.com — we take corrections seriously.
5. Independence
Learn The Pitch is operated by Rimal Labs LLC. We are not affiliated with FIFA, IFAB, UEFA, CONCACAF, or any national football association. All opinions are our own. The site is funded through advertising.
